Upholding Democracy Within Our Union

Continuing the honored and valued process of having our members’ voices heard every two years, we will begin our biennial election process for elected Officers and Executive Board delegates. On January 17, 2024 eligible AFT 1521 members will be sent a detailed announcement, regarding the election process, at their respective physical mailing address. We encourage all faculty to join our union to participate in our democratic process. Guild Officers and Executive Board Elections

The Guild conducts internal elections for Guild Officers and Executive Board members biennially, occurring in even-numbered years. In preparation for these elections, the Executive Board appoints an Election Committee during the semester prior. This committee holds the crucial responsibility of overseeing the conduct of the election.
