WW – October 25th, 2022 October 25, 2022 Hi All, For this Wednesday’s Win, I want to thank our West Los Angeles College Union Campus President, Grace Chee, for organizing our Campus Equity Week Workshops. On Thursday, October 25, at 6:00 PM, there will be a workshop entitled “How to Become an Adjunct Faculty Superstar: KNOW your Contract Rights, Responsibilities, & Benefits.” On Friday, October 28, the workshop will be “Adjunct Faculty Taxes & Retirement.” We want to empower our members to take charge of their careers by knowing their rights, benefits, and financial options. We hope all our adjuncts can participate in our campus equity week events. On Thursday, October 25, at 4:00 PM we will have our student debt clinic (open to all faculty) and at 6:00 PM, there will be a workshop entitled “How to Become an Adjunct Faculty Superstar: KNOW your Contract Rights, Responsibilities, & Benefits.” On Friday, October 28, the workshop will be “Adjunct Faculty Taxes & Retirement.” We want to empower our members to take charge of their careers by knowing their rights, benefits, and financial options. We hope all our adjuncts can participate in our campus equity week events. Equity can’t be achieved in a week. We will continue to fight for equity for adjuncts in healthcare and other iss es. We invite all faculty to get involved in our ongoing adjunct healthcare campaign. We are closer than ever and need all of your help to get our adjuncts healthcare for them and their families. Please help us get the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) back to the table to negotiate secure, accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare for adjunct faculty because faculty wellness is student success!
